Golgotha Church History begins in February 1962, when the family emigrates from Banat Yugoslavia Trifu United States, specifically in Detroit. In 1963 Trifu family moved to Chicago one time attending an American church, "Stone Church". Emigration has continued, and in 1967, "Thanksgiving Day (last Thursday in November), Romanian brothers founded a magazine printing Christian called 'friend'.
In August 1968 came to Chicago pastor brother Gabriel Kovaci of butyne-Timis and held the first organizational moves. The first organized meeting was held divine service was held on August 12, 1968 in building a Spanish church, located at the intersection of 18th Street to Halsted Street, and the first pastor was Gabriel Kovacic.
In October 1973 it purchased the building located at 2809 W 59th St.. with California being recorded in Illinois with the name 'Full Gospel Fellowship Romanian Pentecostal Assembly ", the first name of the church today," Golgotha ". At this address church worshiped and served the Lord until June 2004, when Lord helped us and bought a new building in the suburb of Oak Lawn in a superb location, with the latest equipment and facilities.
For many years the church was called, "Maranatha" is affiliated organization, Church of God "and in June 2004 the church name is" Golgotha Pentecostal Romanian Church, she is still affiliated to the 'Church of God. Today, church members and serve the Lord închinnă at 10100 S. 52nd Avenue, Oak Lawn, Illinois 60453, USA.
Is not irrelevant that the current Golgotha Church was the first Pentecostal church in Chicago and two in North America (first in America is in Detroit).
All these years the church was and is served by several brothers servants. I just want to remind those who have served as pastors leading Gabriel Kovac, John Pinzaru, Onciu Sima Somes Gabriel and Alexander Trombiţaş Balici Aurel.
